Grant Eligibility

Impact100 Hunterdon’s goal is to provide transformational funds to organizations that benefit Hunterdon County, and to highlight unmet needs in the areas of: Arts & Culture, Children & Families, Education, Environment, Preservation & Recreation, and Health & Wellness. Funding must be used within a 3-year period from award date and grantees must comply with all reporting requirements. Successful grantees will have demonstrated a clear benefit to the Hunterdon community with solid outcomes.

Applications may be denied for any of the following:

    • Request for general operating expenses; not clearly articulating funding request for capital projects, significant expansion of existing programs, and/or new initiatives
    • Geographic Area Outside of Hunterdon County (project must significantly benefit Hunterdon County community)
    • Agency annual operating budget of less than $200,000
    • Program Service Expenses of less than 75% (based on the Statement of Functional Expenses on the 990 filing)
    • Organization in operation for less than 3 years
    • Less than 5 voting board members
    • Faith-based groups (exceptions considered for those that can demonstrate inclusiveness, regardless of beliefs, and who commit to not proselytizing to project participants)
    • Politically affiliated groups
    • Known terrorists groups
    • No proof of 501c3 status
    • Three consecutive years of net ordinary losses
    • Funding cannot be fully expended within three years
    • Individual recipients (i.e. scholarships, loans, gifts, etc.)
    • Required documents not included
    • Grant guidelines not followed
    • Unwillingness to allow a site visit, if requested
    • Unwillingness to sign a Grant Agreement and adhere to grant reporting requirements

NOTE: If any of these apply to an applicant, they are welcome to write a short explanatory paragraph of explanation in their LOI submission. That explanation should identify that exception and clearly articulate how even with that exception you are a strong candidate for consideration of this grant.
